Sandfields
The main buildings were erected over one hundred years ago and comprise :-
The Infant building, the Junior building, one Early Years Unit / ICC (Integrated Children’s Centre) and a Dining Hall and Kitchen providing over 200 meals per day.
The school is well equipped with digital equipment, such as iPads, Apple TV, musical equipment, digital cameras, PCs, netbooks and interactive whiteboards in each classroom. Some classes are equipped with touch screen technology and the school is involved in a rolling program of ongoing purchases of up to date ICT equipment.
The school has large playing fields that are used extensively by all pupils throughout the year.  There is also a nature reserve where the children can observe wildlife in its natural habitat and utilise the area as an outdoor classroom. The wild area is timetabled across the school to ensure equal access to Forest Schools activities for all pupils.
Eco club and the school council have worked hard in order to develop our school grounds. A climbing frame, new playground markings, benches, flower boxes, a sand pit, a gazebo and bird houses have been added in order to develop the area and provide a stimulating environment for learning and play.
